What is BANK PO

PO stands for Probationary Officer.
For Young graduates, an attractive offer after college is banking profession. It remains in this most wanted job position for years and it is because it enjoys much respect and prestige in the society. After the extinction of BSRB the only window to enter into this well sought career is Probationary Officers Exams conducted by individual banks. Banks inducts eligible graduates by this exam for training for a probational period of two years. Different Banks recruit probationary officers during different period in the year. Students has to keep on watch about the notifications and should be alert on applying promptly

Bank Probationary Officer (PO) is a good profile post in any bank. Candidates can be recruited as bank PO after clearing the Bank PO Exam conducted by the respective bank. So it all depends on the performance in the exam, the better you perform, higher is the probability to cut through the competition

A PO can be asked to do anything till the completion of probation period. After the confirmation i.e. after two years he/she can be given the task of anyone or two or more tasks from routine work like posting, passing, scrolling or advances or anything that is related to banking.
